Bankside, located in Central London, is a vibrant and bustling neighborhood that offers something for everyone. Known for its rich history, culture, and contemporary amenities, Bankside is the perfect place to explore and experience the best that London has to offer.

One of the most iconic landmarks in Bankside is The Shard, an architectural masterpiece that offers breathtaking views of the city. Additionally, Bankside is home to the Borough Market, one of the oldest and largest food markets in London, where visitors can sample a wide variety of delicious international foods.

Bankside is also home to a number of art galleries, including the Tate Modern, and is renowned for its nightlife, with a wide variety of bars, pubs, and clubs to explore. The neighborhood is also home to several green spaces, including the beautiful Southbank Park, which offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

In the Neighbourhood
There are plenty of ways to take a break from your daily routine in this neighbourhood, whether you're looking for outdoor activities or indoor relaxation. Additionally, there are many hidden gems to explore. Here are some of our favourite suggestions.
Give yourself a break
Potters Fields Park is a cool and unusual green space right by Tower Bridge. With its spacious lawns, wildflower gardens and stunning views of the city, this hidden gem is a genuine oasis and the ideal place to take a break. You could also check out St John’s Churchyard - a short hop across Tooley Street.
Livin’ la vida local
Right on the doorstep of London Bridge station, Bunch of Grapes is a nice little pub located in the heart of the city. It has a large beer garden, a decent pub grub menu and a good range of beers, wines and spirits. The perfect place for an informal pint or a casual after work catch up.
We can work it out
Kings Sport and Wellness London Bridge Gym caters to all levels of fitness. Whether you’re a dab hand at burpees or at the start of your fitness journey, their expert team of personal trainers can help you develop a programme. A great way to let go and unwind after a long day at the office.
Lunch o’clock
We love a lunch at Casa do Franco - a traditional Portuguese wood charcoal grill right near Borough Market. Its range of sharing small plates make it perfect for working lunches. And its beautiful huge arched windows never fail to impress.
Feeling fancy?
Restaurant Story has two Michelin stars and an ever-evolving range of dishes. At £225 per person for a 10-course tasting menu, it’s definitely not the one for a casual burger and chips. But if you’ve got something to celebrate or have someone to thank, Story will most certainly make it a night to truly remember.
The weekend starts here
Nine Lives is a cool and laid back neighbourhood bar in the basement of No. 8 Holyrood Street. Great cocktails, a soundsystem, delicious and seasonal food… What more could you possibly need to start the weekend with a bang?
Explore the neighbourhood
Tower Bridge
Often mistaken for what is actually London Bridge, Tower Bridge is world famous for a reason. Steeped in history and many untold tales, this iconic landmark must be seen to be believed. Check out the high-level walkway for amazing London views. Then head to incredible Victorian Engine Rooms for a showcase of British engineering.
Fashion and Textile Museum
Founded by the irrepressible Zandra Rhodes, an icon of style and design, this museum is a pioneering centre of fashion, textiles and jewellery. Nestled in the heart of Bermondsey Village and designed by the architect Ricardo Legorreta, the Fashion and Textile Museum is a hotspot of creativity, exploration and discovery.
The View from The Shard
Visit this award-winning tourist attraction for breathtaking views of the city. Day or night, you won’t fail to be amazed by the 360° panoramic vista. You can also swing by the highest champagne bar in London, or feel the wind in your hair on the impressive Open-Air Skydeck.
Maltby Street Market
Adding even more flavour to London Bridge’s food scene, Maltby Street Market has been around since 2010. Just a short walk from London Bridge, nestled amid the railway arches, you’ll find this banging street food market and a wealth of friendly stall holders.
Southwark Cathedral
Southwark Cathedral has a long and varied history - it's been a place of worship for over 1,000 years. Its impressive Gothic architecture and stained glass windows make it a genuine sight to behold. It’s also the resting place of Shakespeare’s brother, due to its long-held links with the theatre.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does sub800 do?

At sub800, we're here to make your office feel like a true home for your business. We provide curated, bespoke workspaces and offer you the opportunity to transform your office into a home away from home that truly represents your business. Our services include finding the perfect office space, bespoke office fitouts, a range of weekly services, and simple payments, all designed to create offices that work for you.

What's different about sub800?

sub800 is wholly London-based and is the first marketplace to offer affordable flexible leases, all inclusive rentals, simple legals and property management for multiple landlords across its platform.

  • Our wide ranging portfolio offers customers a wide ranging selection of opportunities and great prices and on simple terms.
  • On top of this, our experienced concierges support businesses with their office needs.

What's included?

A typical sub800 office will include an unfurnished space that you can fit out and make your own. The rent includes your service charge.

  1. Service charge – this covers maintenance, an allocated site manager, security and cleaning of common parts.
  2. Insurance – this covers the proportion of building insurance you pay.

What isn’t included?
  1. Business Rates – these are paid directly to the local authority. We give guide prices based on information accessible to us, but always encourage you to contact the relevant local authority for an exact figure or to check if your business is exempt.
  2. Utilities – your utilities are based on consumption, so instead of charging you an over inflated flat fee, we allow you the flexibility to shop around for the best market rate.

What's in my space when I move in?

Your unit should be clean, decorated and in good condition – ready for you to brand and fit out as you wish. You will need to take over any gas, electricity or telephone services, which your centre manager will help with.
